The Methodology

Every resource in the Self Hypnosis Club is built exclusively upon the classic Dick Sutphen methodology. This approach is favored for its structured path to the subconscious, utilizing disciplined sequences of induction, deepening, and post-hypnotic triggers.

Getting Started

Who is Dick Sutphen and why do we favor his methods?

Dick Sutphen was a pioneer in the field of metaphysics and human potential who famously shared his techniques freely in his seminal work, ‘Fix Everything in Your Life.’ We favor his approach because it is highly efficient and practical.

Sutphen’s sessions emphasize deep relaxation and rapid deepening, utilizing a specific “short-form” 20-minute structure. This window is optimized for intense suggestion repetition, vivid visualization, and the anchor of post-hypnotic trigger words to ensure the work continues long after the session ends.

What will it feel like?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention. Most people feel deeply relaxed physically while remaining mentally alert. It is similar to being “in the zone” or becoming completely absorbed in a great book.
How do I know if it is working?
Success is often found in the “after-effects.” You might notice you are reacting more calmly to stress, sleeping better, or spontaneously making better choices without the usual mental struggle. Physical signs during a session include a feeling of heaviness and a distorted sense of time.

Usage & Frequency

Once or twice a day?
For active self-hypnosis, once a day is ideal—especially during the first 21 days—to allow new neural pathways to cement. Subliminal tracks are designed for “effortless change” and can be played in the background as often as you like throughout the day.
Can I listen while I sleep?
Yes. While the conscious mind sleeps, the subconscious remains receptive. Listening as you drift off is an excellent way to utilize the “hypnagogic state” for deep programming.

Technical Questions

What is the science behind the audio?
We target the Theta Brainwave State (4Hz to 8Hz), the frequency of the mind during deep meditation. By using brainwave entrainment and specialized audio layering, we help the mind bypass the “critical factor” to accept positive new suggestions.
